If Steam's acting up and you can't get to the menu, you can also force quit the app. On Windows, hit Ctrl+Shift+Esc to open Task Manager, find Steam, and click 'End Task.' On Mac, press Option+Cmd+Esc, select Steam, and hit 'Force Quit.' Then just reopen Steam.

Restarting Steam is super easy! Just click 'Steam' in the top left corner of the app, and then hit 'Exit' or 'Quit Steam.' After that, just open Steam again like you would any other program. Boom, fresh start!
