Steam itself doesn't have a native video recording feature. You gotta use something else like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software). It's free, pretty straightforward to use, and works like a charm for recording games. Just download OBS, set it up for the game you're playing, and start recording with a press of a button.

Recording a video in Steam isn't directly supported by the Steam client itself, but don't worry, there's a workaround! You can use the in-game overlay to access third-party software or use Steam's partner, Nvidia GeForce Experience, or AMD's ReLive if you have the appropriate graphics card. These tools offer easy-to-use video capture options right from the get-go. Just hit a hotkey, and you're recording!

Just hit F12, lol. JK, that's for screenshots. For videos, you need external software. OBS is your best bet.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
