To record a video on Steam, you'll want to use the Steam Overlay. While in-game, press Shift + Tab to bring up the overlay, then click on the 'Screenshot' button for photos. For videos, though, Steam itself doesn't have a built-in video recorder. You'll need to use third-party software like OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) or Nvidia's ShadowPlay if you have an Nvidia GPU. Just set the game you're playing as the source in OBS, and start recording!

Steam doesn't actually have its own video recording feature. So, grab an app like OBS or use the built-in Game Bar in Windows 10/11 (Win + G) to capture your epic moments!

Actually, for quick clips, you might want to use the built-in feature in Windows鈥擥ame Bar. Just hit Win + G while in your game. It's not Steam, but it's seamless and easy.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
