Steam doesn't have a native video recording feature, folks. Gotta use third-party software. OBS or even Nvidia's ShadowPlay if you're on their GPUs. Both work great and are simple to set up.

Why even bother recording? Just enjoy the game, man. But if you must, OBS is the way. Easy and free!
Recording video on Steam itself isn't directly supported, but no worries! You can use the built-in feature in Steam's overlay for 'In-Game'. Just hit Shift+Tab to bring up the overlay, then find the 'Screenshot' option. For actual video, though, you'll wanna use an external program. OBS Studio is a free and popular choice. It's pretty easy to set up for game recording or streaming. You just need to add 'Game Capture' as a source in OBS and select the game you're playing. Happy recording!
