First, make sure you have Fraps installed and running. Open War Thunder, then head back to Fraps to set your recording hotkey and folder. Once you're in-game, press the hotkey to start recording and again to stop. Easy peasy!

Install Fraps. Open it, set up your hotkeys, then start War Thunder and press the hotkey when you want to record.

Fraps is old news. Use OBS.

Just install Fraps, set your hotkeys in the Fraps menu, and start War Thunder. Hit the hotkey to start/stop recording. Done and done!
