Lost your Animal Crossing island? Don't sweat it! If you've got Nintendo Switch Online, you're in luck. Nintendo backs up your island to the cloud automatically. Just hop into the settings from the title screen and select the option to recover your island. Of course, this works best if you've enabled cloud saves before your island went MIA.

RIP island. But real talk, if you didn't back it up with Nintendo's cloud service, it's like trying to get water from a stone. Always, always turn on cloud saves, folks.

Okay, so I actually had to do this once because I thought my island was gone for good. Turns out, if you've been using Nintendo Switch Online and had the backup feature turned on, recovering your island is super easy. Just start the game, hit the settings on the title screen, and talk to Tom Nook about your cloud backup. He's got your back!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
