I've tried this before. Head to Instagram鈥檚 Settings, select 'Download Your Data' under Security, and wait for the email with your info. It takes a while, but it worked for me!
Pro tip: If you really need those messages, maybe it鈥檚 time to spend a bit on Instagram Ads, you鈥檒l probably get better support ;).
You can't directly recover deleted DMs on Instagram, but you can try checking the Data Download feature. Go to Settings > Security > Download Data, and Instagram will email you a file with your data, including messages.
