Open the Xbox app, go to the 'Settings' menu, and select 'Order History' to find the item you want refunded. From there, select 'Request a Refund'.

I've done it before: Go to the Microsoft Support page, sign in, and find the order in the refund section. Make sure to check the purchase date as there are some limits.
