How to Reimage Your Steam Deck
GroaningRush·7 months agoReimaging your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward! Just grab a USB drive with at least 8GB of space and download the SteamOS recovery image from the official Steam support site. Make sure to format the USB drive to FAT32, then extract the contents of the recovery image onto it. Power off your Steam Deck, insert the USB, then hold the volume down button while you press the power button to boot from the USB. Follow the on-screen instructions, and voilà, fresh SteamOS installed!

Honestly, why would you need to reimage your Steam Deck? It works fine out of the box. If it ain't broke, don't fix it!
Just download the recovery image from Steam, stick it on a USB, and boot from there. Easy peasy.
