Uninstall the game through the Control Panel or your game launcher, then delete any remaining War Thunder files in your Program Files folder. Easy peasy!
You can completely remove War Thunder by using an uninstaller tool like Revo Uninstaller, which will make sure no files are left behind.
First-hand experience here. I just used the uninstaller in the launcher and cleaned up any leftovers in my Program Files. All gone!
Just uninstall it through Steam or the game launcher. No need to overthink it!
