The build limit in Fallout 4 can be a real buzzkill, right? But fear not! You can bypass it by using a simple trick: drop weapons from your inventory within the settlement, then go into build mode and store those weapons in the workshop. Doing this actually lowers the settlement's build meter, letting you add more stuff. Just repeat until you've got your dream fortress. Beware though; going too wild can slow down your game on less powerful systems.

Mods are your friend here. For PC players, mods like 'Unlimited Building' or 'Build High - Expanded Settlements' directly remove or extend the build limit. Console players aren't left in the dust either, with similar mods available on both PS4 and Xbox One. Always read the mod descriptions for how to use them and any potential risks to your save files. Mod with caution!

Honestly, just stick to the limit. Overbuilding turns settlements into slideshow presentations, especially on consoles.

Just scrap everything. No, seriously. The more you scrap, the more you can build. It's not a perfect solution, but it's something.
