If you're on the app, tap the menu (three lines), then 'Settings & Privacy', 'Settings', and 'Notification Settings'. From there, it's pretty straightforward!
From personal experience, I'd recommend turning off notifications from apps you interact with the least. It seriously keeps the spam down!
