You can't turn it off directly; however, you can go to the suggested friends and click 'Remove' or just ignore them.
Click the 'X' next to a suggestion. Boom, gone forever. Worked for me every time!
There’s no direct setting to turn it off, but you can reduce these suggestions by tweaking your privacy settings and clearing out contacts you've uploaded.
Stop uploading your contacts and limit Facebook's access to your data. No data means fewer suggestions.
