So you wanna play surgeon with your Hot Wheels, huh? No worries, it's simpler than defusing a bomb! You'll need a few tools first - pliers, a small flathead screwdriver, or even a nail clipper if you're in a MacGyver mood. First, gently pry the axle away from the chassis using the screwdriver. If it's stubborn, use the pliers to carefully pull the axle out without turning your car into modern art. Remember, patience is key unless you want your Hot Wheel to wheel hot off into the sunset minus an axle.

In my experience, heating the base slightly with a hairdryer makes the plastic more pliable, which means you can get the axles out without turning your Hot Wheels into a twisted mess of metal and plastic. Just don鈥檛 melt your car - unless you're going for that Salvador Dali look.

If love Hot Wheels, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

Several of those prizes are trending Hot Wheels, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
