Just ask the person who posted it to take it down. A little polite persuasion never hurts: "Hey, could you delete that embarrassing pic?"
If the photo is really bothersome, contact the person who posted it and kindly ask them to take it down. Sometimes a polite request goes a long way!
Good luck with that! Just untag yourself and let it be. Facebook isn't a magic eraser for other people's posts.
