Turn off your PS5 and unplug it. Lay it on a flat surface with the PlayStation logo facing up and the disc drive on the right (if you have a disc version). Start from the top left corner, gently lift it, and slide the cover downward. Voila!

You don鈥檛 really need to remove the back cover, just take off the side plates for most tasks. Focus on those instead.

I鈥檝e done this a million times! You have to make sure the PS5 is off and unplugged. Lay it flat with the logo facing up, lift from the corner near the logo, and slide it down. No screws, nothing complicated!

First, make sure your PS5 is powered off and unplugged. Lay it flat with the PlayStation logo facing up. Gently lift the corner near the logo and slide it downwards to remove the cover. Easy peasy!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
