Just give it a good yank! Seriously, though, gently lift from the corner and slide. It should come right off.
First, turn off and unplug your PS5. Then, place it on a flat surface and gently pull up the corner near the PlayStation logo, while sliding the bottom part in the opposite direction. Voil脿, the cover should pop off!
Just did this last weekend. Make sure you power down completely, then pull up on the bottom left corner and slide it off. Worked like a charm!
