How to Remove Sponsored Ads from Facebook
The best you can do is hide individual ads and give feedback that they're not relevant. Facebook learns from this but won't remove all ads.

AdBlocker! Install an ad blocker extension on your browser, like AdBlock or uBlock Origin. Worked wonders for me!
You can't completely remove sponsored ads, but you can tweak your ad preferences and hide ads you find irrelevant. Go to Settings & Privacy > Settings > Ads > Ad Preferences.
Don't like ads? Try using Facebook Lite; it's leaner and less ad-heavy, but it won't eliminate them entirely.
