First things first, you gotta take apart your Hot Wheels car carefully. Use a drill to remove the rivets, but be gentle. Next, strip the original paint with some paint remover (make sure it's safe for plastics). After it's all clean, give it a good wash and let it dry completely. Then, hit it with a primer designed for plastic surfaces. Once the primer is set, get creative with model paints for the color and details! Seal it all in with a clear coat for that shiny finish. And voila, you've got yourself a custom Hot Wheels!

Honestly, repainting Hot Wheels requires patience and precision. I've done a few, and every time I rush, I end up with a mess. Take your time with disassembly and painting. Use thin coats of paint and let them dry fully between layers. It's worth the effort.

Just spray paint it, lol.

Acetone for stripping the paint. Bad idea. It can melt the plastic. Stick to paint strippers designed for models or gentle on plastics. Learned that the hard way.
