First, try resetting your controller by pushing the small reset button on the back near the L2 shoulder button using a pin. If that doesn't work, check if a firmware update is needed or recalibrate the analog sticks in the system settings.
Sometimes it's just easier to buy a new one. Yeah, it's not the most cost-effective, but it saves time and frustration.
Honestly, sometimes a good ol' cleaning works wonders. Open it up and gently clean the insides, especially around the buttons and analog sticks. Dust and grime can cause a lot of issues.
