First, try updating the controller firmware through your Xbox or PC. If that doesn’t work, check your batteries or use a USB cable to see if it’s a power issue. Still no luck? Open it up (carefully!) and check for loose connections or broken parts, but be mindful this can void your warranty.

Check if the issue is with the buttons or joysticks. Sometimes, a good old cleaning with isopropyl alcohol can fix sticky or unresponsive buttons.

Honestly, if it's not a simple fix like changing batteries or updating firmware, just buy a new one. The hassle isn't worth it.

I had this happen to me last week! What worked was resetting the controller by holding down the sync button for 10 seconds. After that, it paired perfectly.

Some problems can be fixed by recalibrating the controller on your PC using the Xbox Accessories app. It's worth a shot before taking anything apart.

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
