First off, trying to restart your computer might seem basic, but it works like a charm more often than not! If that doesn鈥檛 do the trick, then reinstalling Steam usually fixes most issues. Just make sure to backup your games to avoid redownloading them!

If Steam's acting up, check for updates first. Steam usually patches things up on its own with an update. If that doesn't help, clear your download cache through Steam's settings. This can solve a ton of weird issues without needing to reinstall.

I had a similar issue last month, and all I did was verify the integrity of game files for the game that was causing trouble. Right-click the game in your library, go to properties, then local files, and click on 'Verify integrity of game files.' Worked like a charm for me!

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
