In State of Decay 2, you can repair weapons at the workshop using parts. Make sure your base has a workshop built, then bring your weapon to it, select the repair option, and voila—your trusty weapon is good as new!

No workshop? No problem! Find and befriend an ally group with a workshop. They'll let you use theirs sometimes. Friendship really pays off in the apocalypse!
