How to Replace Hard Drive in a PS3
ManningAndy路7 months agoFirst, back up your data (trust me, don't skip this!). Then, turn off and unplug your PS3. Locate the hard drive cover on the left side, unscrew it, and slide out the old hard drive. Swap in the new one, reassemble, and restore your data!

First-hand experience here! Backed up my saves using a USB. Unplugged the PS3, removed the side panel, unscrewed the blue screw, and slid the old drive out. Slid the new one in, replaced the blue screw, and booted up the PS3 to format it. Easy peasy!
You don't need a degree: backup, unscrew, swap, done!
Backup first! Then unscrew the panel, swap the drives, and reassemble. Not rocket science, but be gentle!
