Tools you'll need: new hard drive, Phillips screwdriver, and a USB drive with the PS4 system software. Unplug the PS4, remove the HDD bay cover, unscrew the caddy and replace the drive. Pop everything back, reinstall the software from the USB drive, and you're all set!

Replacing the hard drive on a PS4 is pretty straightforward. First, power off and unplug your console. Next, slide the HDD bay cover off and unscrew the single screw holding the drive caddy in place. Swap the old drive with a new one, reassemble, and reinstall the system software using a USB drive. Boom, you're done!

Honestly, just get an external hard drive. Way easier and less hassle.

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
