How to replace the Steam Deck SSD
PassingDada·7 months agoSwapping out the SSD on your Steam Deck isn't for the faint of heart, but if you're up for a bit of tech adventure, here's the gist: First, make sure you've got the right tools and a compatible SSD. Then, power down your Steam Deck and remove the back cover. You'll see the SSD right there—carefully disconnect the old one, then connect your new SSD. Reassemble and you're good to go! Remember, patience and precision are key.

Just don't. Opening your Steam Deck can void the warranty. It's a risky move unless you really know what you're doing.
I replaced mine last week, not too hard. Just follow a good tutorial, take it slow, and remember to ground yourself to avoid static! Totally worth it for the extra space.
