You can't directly force a trade immediately. You need to keep performing well and establish a good relationship with your agent. Then, go to the interactions menu to request a trade.

From my experience, you have to earn it. Play well, keep progressing through the seasons, and the 'Request a Trade' option should eventually appear in your interactions menu.
If you think performing like Babe Ruth will get you traded, think again! Just keep playing, and the option will show up in the interactions menu.
In Road to the Show mode, head to the interactions menu and look for the 'Request a Trade' option. If it's not there yet, keep playing; it should pop up eventually!
