Nah, just stick with what you get. The game always updates with new events and characters, so you'll get something good eventually.
First, you gotta uninstall the game and then reinstall it. Play through the tutorial, collect your free Chrono Crystals, and use them to roll summons. If you don't get what you want, repeat the process until satisfied!
I did this like 20 times before landing a Legendary Finish character! Make sure you save your data with a transfer code if you get something decent.
