Rescuing a Mooncalf in Hogwarts Legacy is a magical experience! You just gotta find these adorable creatures during a full moon in the Forbidden Forest or near Hogsmeade. Make sure you approach them carefully, or they might get scared and run away. Use the 'Beast Feed' option when you're close to charm them first. After you've won their trust, you can guide them back to your Room of Requirement and give them a new, safe home.

People are overcomplicating this. Just feed them and they follow you. Easiest quest ever, if you ask me.

Honestly, just wait for a full moon night and wander around the Forbidden Forest. The Mooncalves will be out and about. No need for any fancy spells, just bring some beast feed and patience. They'll practically rescue themselves if they like you enough.

Pro tip: Make sure your beast den in the Room of Requirement is all set up before you go Mooncalf hunting. Nothing's sadder than rescuing one and then not having a cozy spot for them to stay.
