For a factory reset on PS4 or PS5, go to Settings -> System -> Reset Options -> Reset Your Console. Easy peasy!

Just hold the power button for 7-8 seconds until it beeps twice, then choose the Initialize PS4/PS5 option from the Safe Mode menu.

Had to do this for my PS4 last week! Go to Settings, choose Initialization, and then select Full Initialization to wipe everything.

On a PS3, go to Settings -> System Settings -> Restore PS3 System. Keep in mind, this will erase everything.
