Just press the reset button inside the battery compartment. Done.
I had the same issue last week. Remove the batteries, press and hold the pairing button inside the battery compartment for about 5 seconds or until you see the pairing light flash. That should reset it!
Factory reset is your friend! Go to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset. But remember, this will reset everything, not just the remote.
