Honestly, just delete the save data and you're good to go. You can find this in your Switch's system settings under 'Data Management.' No need to overcomplicate it!

Restarting Animal Crossing: New Horizons is pretty simple but takes a few steps. First, from the Switch's Home screen, you'll want to close the game if it's running. Then, navigate to the System Settings > Data Management > Delete Save Data. Select Animal Crossing from the list of games, and confirm you want to delete the save data. Boom! You've just made a clean slate and can start a new adventure on your deserted island.

Why would you want to restart? The beauty of Animal Crossing: New Horizons is in the journey! But if you must, deleting the save data from your Switch's settings will do the trick. Just be sure you really want to say goodbye to your island pals.

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
