Restarting your Animal Crossing: New Leaf game is pretty straightforward but does feel like saying goodbye to a little virtual family, doesn't it? Anyway, when you're ready for a fresh start, just boot up the game, and when Isabelle shows up to say hi, you'll want to press and hold the A, B, X, and Y buttons simultaneously. This combo forces the game into restart mode. Isabelle will ask if you're sure you want to delete your town. Confirm your choice, and voilà, you're ready to create a new village from scratch!

Quick version: Fire up the game, hold A, B, X, Y when Isabelle pops up, confirm you want to delete, and start anew. Pretty simple, but make sure you're really ready to let go of your current town!

Honestly, why restart? Every town has its charm, and there's always something new to discover. I say stick with it and see what new adventures await!

If you're an Animal Crossing player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Nintendo eShop gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
