Pro tip: If the sync button method doesn’t work, you can also connect the controller to your Xbox using a USB cable. Once connected, it should automatically sync.

Honestly, the old USB cable trick is the easiest. Plug it in, let them sync, then go wireless again.

Just press the sync button on the console (near the USB port) and the sync button on your controller (on top near the USB port). They should find each other and live happily ever after!

Sync button near the USB port on the console. Sync button on top of the controller. Easy!

Power cycle! Turn off your Xbox One and controller, then turn them back on. Press the sync buttons on both devices and voila!

If you're a Xbox player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Xbox gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you’re wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
