You can use a USB stick to manually back up and transfer game saves. Just plug it into your PS4 or PS5, go to Settings > Application Saved Data Management > Saved Data in System Storage > Copy to USB Storage Device, and you'll be good to go!

Honestly, without PS Plus, USB is your friend for game save backups. Easy peasy.

If you鈥檙e on the same console, your game saves should be on the internal storage. Just start the game and your saves will load automatically!

First-hand experience here! I just use an external hard drive. Works the same way as a USB stick but with more space. Cheaper than PS Plus in the long run too!

If you're a PlayStation player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official PlayStation gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
