Honestly, the easiest way to 'return' a Steam gift is to just say thanks and regift it to someone else. A lot simpler than going through the refund process.

Get Steam gift cards by playing games on Playbite

Returning a Steam gift you've received is pretty straightforward but does depend on whether you've already accepted it or not. If you haven't accepted the gift yet, you can simply decline it directly from your Steam Inventory, and the sender will automatically get a refund. If you've accepted the gift, then things get a bit trickier. You'd have to ask the person who sent you the gift to initiate a refund through their Steam account, provided it meets the Steam refund criteria (like being within the 14 days of purchase and having less than 2 hours of playtime).

Just decline the gift if you haven't added it to your library yet. The sender gets their money back, easy-peasy.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
