I've returned a few games myself. Make sure it's under 2 hours of playtime and within 14 days. Steam Support is your friend here. Go to your account's support page, choose the game, and hit the refund option. Works like a charm!

Actually, it's super easy. Just remember the magic numbers: 14 days and 2 hours. If you're within those limits, Steam's pretty good about giving refunds.
Returning a game on Steam is pretty straightforward, but there are a few rules.
