How to riffle shuffle MTG cards
SingingRidge路7 months agoRiffle shuffling MTG cards ain't rocket science, but you gotta treat those cards like the treasures they are! Start by splitting your deck in half. Hold a half in each hand with the long edges facing each other and the bottoms resting in your palms. Gently bend the halves so they arch upwards, and let the corners of the cards interleave as you slowly release your grip. Let gravity do its thing and guide the cards into place. Finish with a couple of gentle cuts to ensure a good mix. Just remember, be gentle; we're shuffling cards, not making a salad!

Just don't. Riffle shuffling bends cards, and if you've got any of those high-value cards, you're just asking for trouble. Stick to overhand or mash shuffling. Your cards and future self will thank you.
I've riffle shuffled my MTG decks for years, and honestly, it's not as damaging as people say if you do it right. Keep it gentle and use sleeves. Sleeves protect the cards and make shuffling smoother. Plus, it looks cool and pro when you do it smoothly at the start of a match.
