How to Rollback a Steam Game Update
TrainingLace·7 months agoSo you want to turn back time on your game update? Gotcha. First thing, hope you've been backing up your game files 'cause Steam doesn't have a built-in rollback feature. If you've got a backup, just delete the updated game files and replace them with your old ones. Easy peasy.
No backup? No problem! Some savvy devs offer previous versions of their games on Steam under the 'betas' tab in the game's properties. Right-click the game in your library, go to Properties > Betas, and see if there’s an option for a previous version. Not all heroes wear capes, some upload old game versions.

Honestly, why bother? Game updates usually fix bugs or add content. Ride the wave of progress, my friend!
For those who absolutely must, another approach is using community tools or mods that are specifically designed to roll back updates. Websites like Nexus Mods may have what you're looking for. However, make sure you're not violating any terms of service before going down this path.
Steam doesn't support rolling back updates directly, but if a developer has enabled it, you can access previous versions through the game's properties. Some mod websites also keep archives of old game versions, which might help. Just remember, tinkering with game files can lead to dragons, so proceed with caution!
