To rotate items in Fallout 4, you're gonna wanna hold down the 'E' key if you're on PC. If you're on console, press and hold the button you use to grab items (A on Xbox, X on PlayStation), then move your joystick. Just keep in mind, sometimes the physics get a lil' wonky, so it's all about finding that sweet angle.

Honestly, rotating items is more about patience than skill. Grab it, slowly adjust your angle, and pray to the Fallout gods it doesn't freak out and launch across the room.
