To run a game as an administrator on Steam, first close Steam. Then, right-click on the Steam shortcut or executable and select 'Properties.' Go to the 'Compatibility' tab and check the box that says 'Run this program as an administrator,' then hit 'OK.' Now, whenever you launch Steam, it runs with admin privileges, and so do your games. Remember, you might need to do this for the game's executable itself in its installation folder for some games.

Just right-click the game's shortcut and hit 'Run as administrator.' If it's a shortcut to Steam, the whole client runs as admin, including your games. But yeah, not all games play nice this way, so tread carefully and only do it if you really need to.

Nah, you really shouldn't run games as admin unless you absolutely gotta. It's a security risk. Plus, Steam games are designed to work well without needing admin rights. If you're having issues, check the game's forums or support pages instead.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
