No need for Wine or anything, just stick to Proton. I've been running all my Windows games through it on my Steam Deck without a hitch. Just make sure you enable it in the Steam settings for any game you want to run. Works like a charm!

Running an EXE on your Steam Deck is pretty straightforward if you're in desktop mode. Just download and install Wine or a similar compatibility layer like Proton (which is integrated into Steam for Linux). This will allow you to run many Windows applications, including games, right on your Steam Deck. Remember, not all EXEs may work perfectly due to compatibility issues, but it's worth a shot for most.

Actually, you can just use Proton, which comes with Steam Deck. Enable it for your non-Steam games in the settings, and you should be good to go. It's built for this kind of stuff, so no need to overcomplicate things with additional software.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!

The brands referenced on this page are not sponsors of the rewards or otherwise affiliated with this company.
