How to Run Windows Games on Steam Deck
To run Windows games on your Steam Deck, you'll first need to install Windows. The Steam Deck is pretty versatile and can dual-boot, so you can have both the native SteamOS and Windows installed. Just download the Windows 10 ISO from Microsoft's website, create a bootable USB drive, and follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows. After that, you can just download Steam for Windows, log in, and play your Windows games as usual. Remember, you might need to tweak some settings for optimal performance due to the Steam Deck's unique hardware.

You don't necessarily have to install Windows to play Windows games on Steam Deck. Steam Proton, which is built into the SteamOS, allows you to play a ton of Windows-only games right on Linux. It's not 100% perfect for every single game, but the compatibility list is impressive and growing. Just enable Proton for all your games in Steam's settings, and you're good to go!
Honestly, just use Proton. It's way easier than messing around with installing Windows.
