Honestly, just start your post and when you try to leave, Instagram will save it as a draft for you.
After you start making a post, hit the back arrow at the top left twice until you see an option to save it as a draft. Tap 'Save Draft' and you're good!
Been there, done that! Just hit the back button when creating a post and Instagram will automatically prompt you to save it as a draft.
