How to Save Kent in Fallout 4
Okay, first up, you gotta be fast. When you're at the part with Sinjin, aim for a headshot on him right off the bat. Use VATS to slow things down and make your shot count. If you have any perks or gear that boost your damage or accuracy, now's the time to equip them. Also, having high Charisma helps because you can try to talk Sinjin's goons down, making it easier to focus on Sinjin without distractions.

The trick to saving Kent is all in the preparation. Before you even step into that room with Sinjin, load up on Psycho and Jet. Pop those bad boys right as the dialogue ends and time will slow enough for you to take out Sinjin and his goons before they know what hit them. Worked like a charm for me.
Talk your way out if you can. Spec into Charisma and use those silver-tongue skills to convince Sinjin to leave Kent alone. Failing that, sneak and gear up on stealth boys and silenced weapons before the encounter. Sometimes, being a ghost works better than being a tank.
