I'm pretty sure Sonic Generations auto-saves your settings, so just change what you need and exit the menu. It'll remember!

To save your configuration in Sonic Generations, just head to the options menu and adjust your settings. Once you're done, hit the back button, and it'll ask you if you wanna save. Easy peasy!

If you're not seeing your settings save, try running the game as admin. That fixed it for me!
