One quick tip is to check the card's texture; real gold Pokemon cards have a unique, slightly bumpy texture, not smooth like a regular card. Also, the color and shine on a real gold card are pretty distinctive - it should look metallic and not dull. If you've got a magnifying glass, zoom in on the card's text and images. The print quality on a genuine card is sharp and detailed, while fakes often look blurry or smudged. Last but not least, weigh it! Real Pokemon cards have a specific weight to them, so if it feels too light or too heavy, you might be holding a fake!

Just do the bend test, if it snaps back, it's real. If not, sorry bud, you got a fake.

Honestly, the best way is to compare it directly with a card known to be real. Most fakes have slight differences in color or font size that are dead giveaways when you see them side by side with an authentic card.

One of those prizes is a pack of Pokemon cards, which you can win and get sent to you essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
