In my experience, if you send messages and they stay on one checkmark for days, chances are you're blocked.
Hot take: If they've blocked you, move on. Why worry about someone who doesn't want to chat?
Try calling them through WhatsApp. If it doesn't go through repeatedly, you might be dealing with a block.
