Unfortunately, Pokemon GO doesn't have a marketplace or trading system for items. You can discard unwanted items to make room for better stuff though!

You can't actually sell items in Pokemon GO, but you can free up space by discarding items you don't need. Tap on the item in your bag and hit 'Discard' to clear it out.
From personal experience, the only way to manage items is by discarding those you don't need. Just long-press on the item and select 'Discard'.
