You can't send money directly to your buddies on Steam, but no worries! Just gift them a 'Steam Digital Gift Card'. Choose the amount, add a personalized message if you're feeling fancy, and voila! You've sorta sent them money. They can use it to buy games, software, or any other titillating item on Steam. Just hit up the Steam store and search for the gift cards. Easy peasy.

Sending money directly on Steam isn't a thing. BUT, you can basically do the same by gifting a game directly to a friend's Steam account. Browse the store, find a game you know they鈥檒l lose their mind over, and select 'Purchase as a Gift' at checkout. Then you just pick your friend's account. Boom, you're the hero of the day.

Actually, I prefer just swapping game codes or items from our inventories. It feels more personal and lets us share our favorite games or items we've doubled up on. Direct money transfer might be easier, but this way has a bit of heart to it.

If you're a Steam player, you need to download the Playbite app!

Playbite is like an arcade in your phone: you get to play all kinds of fun and simple games, compete with friends and others, and win cool prizes from all your favorite brands!

One of those prizes is the official Steam gift card, which you can win and use to get anything you want essentially for free!

In case you鈥檙e wondering, this is how it works:

Playbite makes money from (not super annoying) ads and (totally optional) in-app purchases. The app then uses that money to reward players like you with prizes!

Download Playbite for free, available on the App Store and Play Store!
